Every summer during my Grandmother's vacation at Houghton Lake, Michigan, she would make a trip to the local variety store and purchase three items: a crochet hook, thread and a pattern book. Grandma did exquisite detailed work and many of her thread pieces are showcased throughout the site (including two from the Crinoline Lady book). I didn't learn to crochet from my grandmother but I did learn what quality work looked like.
The vintage books for sale are from her collection and are offered at a nominal cost which helps to support my website. I also have vintage patterns for free, including a pattern I reconstucted from a tablecloth made by my grandmother more than 50 years ago.
