Hi! My name is Joyce Noverr and I am lady_n_thread.

I have been crafting since my first Brownie Girl Scout project where we cut and decorated empty bleach bottles to make carrying totes for yarn and knitting needles. My love of crafts was nurtured and by age 8, I was crocheting, knitting, sewing and doing crewel, among other crafts.

"Making stuff" is my passion but my collection is crochet patterns. This started when I inherited my Grandmother's patterns from the 1940's and 1950's. I enjoy reading a crochet pattern just as much as a magazine or newspaper article. Along, the way I've also ventured into designing my own patterns. Designing mostly happens when I can't find a pattern I like or when an idea for something pops into my head and wouldn't disappear until I create it (this is the worst kind of inspiration for me because NOTHING looks in real life like what I see in my head!!)
